One thing that always sticks out to me in Guangzhou is the clash between old and new, rich and poor, Eastern and Western cultures. There are old Chinese gates and new enormous bridges. There are really old houses with new skyscrapers right being built right beside them. And then there are these little stores selling all sorts of things so typical for developing countries and street vendors selling live chickens…
