When I mentioned in a post about our quick stop in Paris in December that our Parisian friend Nadege had made reservations for us to eat for 50% in the middle of the city, some of you wanted to know ho to do that. I can’t blame you! Paris is expensive and being able to save 50% of your lunches and dinners can really make a difference. So, I asked her for the website and here it is: La Fourchette. And they even have an English website: The Fork. So, here’s how it works:
- Choose the city (I’ve only tried the Paris one, but if the deals are as good for other French cities, I think I have to take a tour through France).
- Select the specifics, e.g. zip code, metro stop, what kind of cuisine and make sure you enter the specific date you want the deals for as they change every day.
- Don’t forget to click “restaurants with special offers”.
- Search!
- Below you’ll see a list of restaurants and the column all the way to the right lists special offers. That’s where you can find the -50% or -40%.
Make sure to click on the link to check out the details for the specific place you’re interested in. For example, you have to reserve online in order to be eligible for the offer, drinks are excluded, etc.
Pretty easy and the savings add up
Bon appetit!

I know! I couldn’t believe when my friend told us about it! I usually tend to think that these things don’t work because they sound too good to be true. But apparently not enough people eat out anymore and they want to attract new customers.
