When we were in San Marcos for a car race a few months ago, I spotted a little gem for my Only in Texas series. I’m still not nearly as brave as Erin with her mullet shots (Hilarious! You should totally check them out!), but I did manage to snap a few pics of this very Texan truck decoration for you guys: a skull with horns on a truck. Enjoy!

Got to love those mullets and trucks with long horns!
PS – you’re going to die when you hear what I did in Spain last weekend. Wait for it……country. line. dancing. That’s right. Blog (and pictures and video) to come soon. It was amazing. AMAZING!
No way!!! I can’t wait to read about it and see the pics/videos. Too funny!!
Love it!!

Truly only in Texas, right?!
The classic are the Longhorn horns on the front of Cadillac. I thought those were standard equipment in Texas.
Cheers.

Luckily not
But yes, I’ve seen those too… plenty!
Hi Sherman,
Best regards,

Oh my. I expect there are some similar in Alberta.

Haha! It’s funny how every country has “their Texas”
Haha – you didn’t even need to tell me that truck was in Texas! =)

Right?! I don’t know anywhere else you could expect to see that – except maybe Alberta according to Sue
Out in the country in Ohio, you can sometimes still find trucks driving around with deer antlers.
Really? I would have never expected that! So…. I guess not only in Texas
Bwahahaha! I’d like to see one of those on a Prius some day.

Now THAT would be picture-worthy!!
So totally classic, but I don’t know if I have ever seen it in person. In the backwoods of North Carolina, it is often a fishing pole rack on the front and a gun rack in the backwindow. Oh and several towing hitches.

Fishing pole and gun rack? Nice combination! Total hunters up there, hm?
I don’t think that truck could be from anywhere but Texas. Great shot for your series.

So typical, right?
Hi Sabrina,
This long horns are really ubiquitous down here. Maybe you have a look at a pic I took a couple of years ago in Luckenbach/TX.
Best regards,
Pit
I need to go check those out. Are the of the live ones? I think I might have seen them before. Really cool!
I think your title “Only in Texas” is very true for this. I’m from Calgary which is a big ranch area, but you would never see anything like that there.

Yes, I can’t imagine this anywhere else
And you see those trucks quite often too… not really a rarity.
And what a great close-up, too in the second photo. I’ve never been to Texas but this looks like stereotypical Texas to me.

Thanks! Yes, These huge trucks by themselves are pretty typical; the skull on it is just an added benefit
I’m currently living in Europe but if you come with this car here you will get views like “OOO WTF???” Haha..

No kidding! And can you imagine trying to find a parking spot anywhere with this huge truck in Europe?
