I have a few pictures for you that deserve to be in my Only in Texas series. Where else can you see Texas Longhorns roaming around between different cities on a road trip? I am talking about the actual animals here – not members of UT Austin’s athletic team who are huge in Texas. I mean, you see those too and they are very rocognizable with their burnt orange colors, but I’ll save that for another football post. We were on our way to San Angelo sometime last year when we saw some Texas Longhorn cattle grazing right by the side of the road. We actually stopped and walked over to get a better look. Those horns were big! I’ve seen pictures of horns that were way bigger than that, but to me they seemed big nontheless. The calfs were very cute too. When we got too close they all showed us their booties and walked away as you can see in the last picture below. Not in the mood for long photo shoots I guess. Pretty cool though nontheless! And I prefer to see those horns on an animal as opposed to mounted on a big old truck 😉
