A few times a year, we plan a weekend in Tuscany with our friends from Rome. It’s sort of halfway between where we live and where they live… and it’s Tuscany. So many fun things to discover. Last spring we went to San Gimignano and this spring we went to Casole d’Elsa. We found a pet-friendly hotel and were so happy with our choice, the Aquaviva Hotel & Spa. I’m sure there are more modern establishments, but for us it was perfect. We had a ground-level room with a terrace which allowed us to let out Bailey whenever we wanted to. So convenient. And the views were really great. Breakfast was served inside, but they were really nice and set up a table for us outside when we asked. Totally recommended for a weekend in Tuscany kind of escape.

While we were there, Marco did a crazy hike with our friends (through water and up rocks) while I caught up on a little work and together we did another nice hike in a nearby town before we all headed home the next day. Oh, and of course we relaxed in the inside pool. Unfortunately, it wasn’t warm enough to jump in the outside one yet. But doesn’t it look so inviting? Enjoy a few pics from the hotel and surrounding views below. I just love the rolling hills in Tuscany. And as you can see below, so did our pup 🙂

Oh, and I’m excited to announce that I have a new affiliate partner, Dog Buddy (Local Dog Boarding with DogBuddy). Whenever Bailey can’t come on a trip with us, I use them to find her a dog sitter. I love that I know that she’s in somebody’s home and not in some kennel while I’m out enjoying myself somewhere in the world.
